On July 10, 2016, a mass meeting against an armed OSCE mission deployment in the territory of Donbass was held in the capital of the Donetsk People`s Republic. More than 60 thousand citizens of towns and regions of the Republic took to the high street of Donetsk.
The mass meeting was attended by Chairman of the DPR People`s Council and Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the DPR in the Minsk negotiations, Denis Pushilin, and by the People`s Council deputies.
After the column of demonstrators marched through Artyoma Street, participants of the civil action gathered at Lenin Square, where parliamentarians addressed them from the stage.
Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin said that bringing of the armed OSCE mission to Donbass would mean wrecking of the Minsk agreements: “Bringing of the armed OSCE mission to our home means a complete and unconditional non-implementation of the Minsk agreements”, Denis Pushilin noted.
“Let’s say “no” to the armed OSCE mission in Donbass!” the DPR Plenipotentiary Representative called upon participants of the mass meeting.
The demonstrators held banners with inscriptions in different languages - English, German, French – with appeals to the international community to prevent introduction of the armed OSCE mission, among them: “No to armed OSCE mission!”, “Donbass against armed mission!” “Armed mission = military intervention”, “We won`t allow armed OSCE mission in Donbass”, “We`ll ensure our security ourselves!” and others.
Also, the collection of signatures was organized, for a petition to the UN Security Council against violations of “Minsk-2” by the Ukrainian side.
