On September 9, a requiem meeting was held on the territory of the Saur-Mogila memorial complex in the Shakhtyorsky district of the Donetsk People's Republic, timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Donbass from the Nazi invaders.

On September 8, in the capital's centre, at the memorial "To Your Liberators, Donbass!", a solemn meeting was held on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Donbass from the Nazi invaders. The event was attended by Acting DPR Head Denis Pushilin, Vice-Commander of the Operational Command Eduard Basurin, representatives of the Donetsk City Council, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, and residents and guests of the city.

The decision to hold elections of the DPR Head and the People's Council deputies is a necessary measure for maintaining the system of state power in the DPR, Denis Pushilin, Acting Head of the DPR, stated in the 60 minutes programme on the Russia 1 channel.

On September 2, in the Donetsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after A.B. Solovyanenko, the farewell ceremony with the Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko took place.

On September 2, the Acting Head of the DPR Dmitry Trapeznikov and Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin laid floral tribute to the Joseph Kobzon’s monument, which is located on a square near the Palace of Youth “Youth” in Donetsk.
