The cease-fire in Donbass, according to the agreement reached in Minsk, will enter into force on the night of December 24, and must act termlessly. Delegation's head at the Minsk negotiations, the Chairman of the People's Council Denis Pushilin told DAN this today.

On December 21, Contact group's last meeting in 2016 on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass held in Minsk. The agenda included issues of compliance with the armistice, the implementation of the agreement on disengagement of forces and means, exchange of prisoners.

The main question of a meeting was discussion of firing's consequences of Donetsk on the night of December 8, as a result of which houses, the gas pipeline and power lines have been damaged, civilians were affected.

The meeting's agenda included the prisoners' exchange issues, implementation of the agreement on disengagement of forces and means, as well as consideration of the investigation results of the shelling in Makeevka on the night of October 27.
