Smog impends over Kiev, and judging by the pictures in the news, the Ukrainian capital over the last couple of days is more like a famous Chinese Beijing, where it is dangerous to health to be outside without a protective mask, and fresh air is sold in the cafes.

A few days left before the departure of Obama from the post of President of United States of America, and with him leaves the entire current White House administration. On January 20, 2017, the power goes to the President-elect Donald Trump, who has repeatedly stated that he was going change the foreign policy of America.

I wrote about the Ukrainian budget for 2017 earlier. I have to repeat one sentence. ʺIn fact, the Ukrainian draft budget for 2017 is based on that the financial burden will be put, as usual, on ordinary citizens with a reduction of social obligations to them. 

The war with an “aggressor” continues on all fronts in Ukraine, culture and art is no exception. It is a common practice today not to allow Russian music stars and film actors in the country and cancel their tours without any explanation. And concerts of popular Russian performer in Kiev, Lvov, Zaporozhye and other cities have been repeatedly shut down due to a fault of Ukrainian organizers.

Former British arrogance is gone completely. "Splendid isolation" is a term that characterizes the policy of Great Britain, when it avoided long-term alliances with other countries, and retained full freedom of action. 

Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze believes that the existence of a moratorium on the export of round wood is the only reason why Ukraine cannot receive the second part of the EU’s macro-financial assistance of €600 million.

In August 1991, the USSR Supreme Council proclaimed the independence of Ukraine. Before the referendum was held, republican citizens' brains were washed with the active propaganda that if you exit from the USSR, life will become better instantly, as Ukraine literally feeds all the other Soviet republics.

One can endlessly speculate about financial and charitable activities of the United States and Europe, in Middle Eastern countries and the former Soviet Union, but one thing is for sure: neither America nor Europe will throw money if they cannot predict the outcome of these expenses.

The term "terrorism" in the right of the various states is defined differently, though its interpretation implies certain policy with violence. About 50 years ago the term "international terrorism" appeared, and at the present time we are witnessing the emergence of the concept of "cyberterrorism."

There is hardly an example in US history, when leaving President would hand over the administration with such a noise. Normally, the change of power in the White House was held quietly and steadily. But Barack Obama's departure makes a new record in the history.
