The cease-fire in Donbass, according to the agreement reached in Minsk, will enter into force on the night of December 24, and must act termlessly. Delegation's head at the Minsk negotiations, the Chairman of the People's Council Denis Pushilin told DAN this today.

On December 21, Contact group's last meeting in 2016 on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass held in Minsk. The agenda included issues of compliance with the armistice, the implementation of the agreement on disengagement of forces and means, exchange of prisoners.

On December 15, the meeting of the Committee for public support of citizens from southeastern Ukraine, chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Yuri Vorobyov, was held in the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

At the initiative of the Donetsk People's Republic the meeting of participants of Contact group in the videoconference mode has taken place today. The main question of a meeting was discussion of firing's consequences of Donetsk on the night of December 8, as a result of which houses, the gas pipeline and power lines have been damaged, civilians were affected.

On December 8, a meeting of the “Donetsk Republic” faction took place in the DPR People’s Council, where parliamentarians presented annual reports for 2016 on the work of electoral districts.

On December 7, the meeting of the Trilateral contact group on the conflict's peaceful settlement in the Donbass was held in Minsk. The meeting's agenda included the prisoners' exchange issues, implementation of the agreement on disengagement of forces and means, as well as consideration of the investigation results of the shelling in Makeevka on the night of October 27.

The Chairman of the DPR People’s Council, the permanent plenipotentiary representative of the DPR in the Contact group at negotiations in Minsk Denis Pushilin commented on Pavel Zhebrivsky’s statement on written guarantee of preservation of ceasefire by the Russian side in the Joint Center on Control and Coordination of issues related to the ceasefire regime and the stabilization of the situation.

On November 24, the meeting of DPR People’s Council "Donetsk Republic" faction was held in which parliamentarians summed up preliminary results of its activities for 2016.

On November 24, the People’s Council delegation headed by the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin took part in a number of special events during their working visit to the Republic of Abkhazia.

On November 23, the regular meeting of the Trilateral сontact group on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass was held in Minsk. Issues regarding the increased number of armistice violations, the exchange of prisoners and the implementation of political paragraphs of the Minsk agreements were submitted to the agenda.
