Denis Pushilin takes part in friendly futsal match

On February 12, a friendly futsal match between veterans of FC “Shakhtar” and the DPR’s government team took place at the Palace of Sport “Sparta”. The match was dedicated to the memory of a master of sports of international class of USSR Victor Chanov, who died on February 8, 2017.

The Chairman of DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin and the Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism Mikhail Mishin played in the DPR’s government team.

Denis Pushilin delivered a welcome address at the beginning of match.

ʺAny friendly matches or competitions have a positive impact on sport development in the Republic and promote a healthy lifestyle among the population. I think that today’s match will be no exception and such games will become another good tradition in the DPR,ʺ the Speaker said.

Mikhail Mishin, for his part, said that these team competitions allow uniting the leadership of the DPR and its citizens. The minister wished the teams good luck and victory in a fair contest.

ʺThere are always a lot of positive emotions at all sporting events, which our people lack these days. And if such sport legends as Petrov, Pogodin, Babiy, Voskoboynik, Kuraev, Litvinov, Nesterenko and Davydenko take part in the match, this game becomes even more important then. Besides that, I believe that friendly matches in today’s format make physical culture and sports even more attractive for youth,ʺ Mikhail Mishin said.
