The principle "Sport is out of politics," which has long been considered unshakeable throughout the world, in fact, turned out to be empty words. As the events of the passing year show: the sport has long been a hostage of big money and big politics. 

On December 10, Moscow hosted a solemn event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the founding of the regional public organization "Association of Donbass fellow-countrymen."

Experts of the European Court of Auditors recognize Ukraine as the most corrupted country in Europe. The organization's report states that, despite the impetus given to anti-corruption reforms, the results are still very fragile. Also, auditors note the fact that the oligarchic clans continue to exert a strong influence on the economy.

According to media reports, the US State Department is allocating $800.000 to finance Ukrainian public organizations, which will monitor local authorities for corruption and build relationship with regional media.
