Earlier, the press centre of the State Border Service of Ukraine reported on the enhancing of security measures on the state border, the contact line with the Donbass and the "administrative border with the temporarily occupied territory of the Crimea" during the celebration of the National Flag Day and the 27th anniversary of Independence Day.

The latest news on the subject is an armed attack near a city hall in Kharkov and illegal weapon stash in Odessa, the owner of which was selling ammunition and weapons through the Internet.

In Ukraine, an increase in the number of firearms owned by citizens of the country was noted. According to the Department of the National Police of Ukraine, at the moment there are about 900 thousand weapons on hand. An impressive figure, but we are talking only about registered units. And if you consider how many weapons were imported from abroad as a result of illegal trafficking, this figure will be twice as much as official figures.
