Vladimir Bidyovka congratulates Shakhtyorsk residents on upcoming holidays

On August 20, a series of events dedicated to the Town Day and Miner’s Day took place in the town of Shakhtyorsk. The events were attended by the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka, deputies of the People’s Council Fyodor Berezin, Rinat Bilyalov and Maxim Parshin.

Speaking at the solemn meeting, the Speaker of Parliament thanked Shakhtyorsk residents for their dedicated work for the good of the Republic and loyalty to its ideals.

“Your town is a town of miner’s glory, a visiting card of the Donetsk People’s Republic. This is a unique area, which is the largest in our state,” Vladimir Bidyovka said.

The People’s Council Chairman also called Shakhtyorsk a town of military glory, as its inhabitants with arms in their hands came out to defend their Homeland from the aggression of the AFU.

“Thank you for defending your town and district, and also for rebuilding it. Yes, many pressing problems still have to be solved, but I am sure that together we will achieve much more in the development of the town and the entire region. I wish you peace, well-being and prosperity,” the Speaker of Parliament added.

During the official part of the event, the Chairman of the People’s Council presented the gratitude letters of the DPR Head for the merits in raising children and significant personal contribution to strengthening the institution of the family.

It should be noted that as part of the festive programme, in Shakhtyorsk, a floristic festival, a town’s on-the-go action “Bus-the-Traveller”, an exhibition of paintings, creative workshops, an exhibition of equipment of the Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Management Ministry of the Donetsk People’s Republic took place.
