Vladimir Medvedev: Expressing opinion countering Kiev’s policy is dangerous in Ukraine

People living in Donbass can properly judge and repulse lies coming from the Ukrainian media, People’s Council MP Vladimir Medvedev said in a comment to the DPR official website.

“Ukraine’s politicians, including the president of the country and his entourage, think purely about the satisfaction of their personal interests. The economy exists solely through inflows of the International Monetary Fund. Social obligations are constantly being declining, while utility bills remain the highest in Europe.

Recently, once again we could witness what Ukrainian journalism is like when one of the ICTV reporters interviewed a resident of Rubezhnoye. I don’t know what the correspondent was counting on when he asked him questions, but I think that the respondent expressed the opinion of the majority of people living in settlements located near the demarcation line in this interview. I am glad that, despite of all Kiev’s efforts, people who live in the Donbass territory not controlled by us can properly judge and repulse lies coming from Ukrainian information channels.

It’s scary that many residents of Ukraine in Kharkov, Odessa and even Kiev don’t find the courage to clamp down on the rampant nationalists who destroy monuments, attack veterans and simply distort history,” the parliamentarian said.
