On January 22, Donetsk held a rally-requiem in memory of those killed during the shelling in 2015, at Bosse urban settlement. The event attended by the DPR People’s Council Chairman Denis Pushilin, head of the faction "Donetsk Republic" deputy Alexander Kostenko.

On January 20, 2017, in Donetsk Sports Center "Sportmax" a Russian world record holder on powerlifting Mariana Naumova held a master class on bench press. The event was attended by the DPR People's Council Chairman Denis Pushilin.

On January 20, the extended session of the People's Council's Committee on Transport and Communications, dedicated to discussion of the possibility and joining procedures of the Donetsk People's Republic to international treaties, in particular the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR).

On January 19, in the city of Simferopol (Crimean Republic, Russian Federation) held the Slavic Unity Forum "Forever with Russia" which was attended by the DPR and the LPR delegations.

In the world there are several famous festivals, within which the best actors and films are awarded with film awards. The first and most well-known film awards, Academy Awards, was awarded in 1929. The owner of movie studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Louis B. Mayer approved this award. 

On January 18, the capital of the Republic of Crimea in Simferopol held a solemn meeting and laying flowers at the monument to Bogdan Khmelnitsky on the occasion of the 363rd anniversary of the Pereyaslav Council.

On January 18, a festive opening of an exhibition of Donbass children’ drawings called “The war and the world seen by children” took place in Simferopol (Crimean Republic, Russian Federation). Smog impends over Kiev, and judging by the pictures in the news, the Ukrainian capital over the last couple of days is more like a famous Chinese Beijing, where it is dangerous to health to be outside without a protective mask, and fresh air is sold in the cafes.

A few days left before the departure of Obama from the post of President of United States of America, and with him leaves the entire current White House administration. On January 20, 2017, the power goes to the President-elect Donald Trump, who has repeatedly stated that he was going change the foreign policy of America.

I wrote about the Ukrainian budget for 2017 earlier. I have to repeat one sentence. ʺIn fact, the Ukrainian draft budget for 2017 is based on that the financial burden will be put, as usual, on ordinary citizens with a reduction of social obligations to them.
