On September 20, a regular meeting of the Contact Group on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass was held in Minsk. The agenda included the implementation of a ceasefire regime, the exchange of prisoners and the implementation of the Agreement on the separation of forces and means at the third pilot area near Stanitsa Luganskaya.

On September 5, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law "On Education", according to which from 2018 classes with the teaching of subjects in "minority languages" will remain only in primary school. With its new education reform, the Ukrainian government stroke an irreparable blow at its own reputation.

Deputy Chairman of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, presidential representative in the parliament Irina Lutsenko stated that Ukraine would insist that the "blue helmets" have the opportunity to use weapons not only for self-defense. And yes, of course, throughout the territory of the DPR and the LPR.

Ukraine and the United States are interested only in a forceful solution to the conflict in Donbass. It was stated by the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council, the permanent plenipotentiary representative of the DPR in the Contact group at negotiations in Minsk Denis Pushilin in a live television broadcast of “Time Will Tell” TV programme on the Russian First channel.

Yesterday, Ukraine and the United States refused to discuss Russia's proposed resolution on the introduction of the UN contingent to the Donbass; today, the Ukrainian president is pleased with the approval of the US Senate to allocate $500 million to Ukraine for defense. Can anything more eloquently speak about the intentions of the Ukrainian party?

The refusal of Ukraine and the United States to work on the text of the resolution on the UN mission in the Donbass proposed by Russia reveals the true motives of the Western partners. Such actions eloquently speak about what Pyotr Poroshenko and his American friends really want.

With each tranche of the European Union, Ukraine is becoming more and more of a western raw material colony. I recall that the EU macro-financial assistance in the amount of 1.8 billion euros was approved in May 2015, of course, in the context of the implementation of conditions set – the fight against corruption, the implementation of reforms, etc.

Certainly, there was no a full-fledged ceasefire during any of truces. But “school truce”, as “bread” one before, performs a different function – it reduces shelling incidents. Of course, for a number of reasons, we see a periodic escalation with an increase in the number of shelling incidents even during the truce – all such cases are recorded.

Chairman of the People's Council of the DPR, permanent representative of the DPR to the talks of the Contact group in Minsk, Denis Pushilin, in the TV program "Sunday Evening with Vladimir Soloviyov" commented on Vladimir Putin's initiative to send UN peacekeeping contingent to the Donbass.

On September 16, in Donetsk, the presentation of an illustrated edition in Russian and English "The Books of the Living: 2014-2016" took place. The event was attended by the Vice-Commander of the DPR Defense Ministry's corps, Eduard Basurin, and the Chairman of the DPR People's Council, permanent representative of the DPR at the talks of the Contact group in Minsk Denis Pushilin.
